    Logan has been part of VSC since 2009. Logan is a coach and has two kids in the club. Logan grew up playing soccer, and earned his USSF D license. Logan is back on the board to help keep building a fun, positive, development-focused soccer community here in Vermilion.

    Art brings a wealth of experience and passion for youth development to VSC. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Beulah Beach, he has a strong commitment to fostering community engagement and leadership through sports. He and his wife, Miquette, have three children actively involved in the club. With 15 years of experience as a school teacher and administrator in Haiti, Art values the importance of education and mentorship. His diverse background and dedication to youth athletics contribute significantly to the mission of Vermilion Soccer Club.

    Jake is a dedicated father of four and actively involved in his children's sports alongside his wife, Mary Scott. Between the two of them they ensure at least one of them is on the field coaching their kids. When he's not on the field cheering or coaching, he owns a construction company, demonstrating his commitment both at home and in his professional life.

    As a mother of four, Melissa has learned the importance of teamwork and support, both on and off the field. She works as a high school teacher at Elyria High School, where she is passionate about inspiring her students to reach their full potential. She coaches her 11-year-old's soccer team and is an assistant coach to her 9-year-old's team. Outside of the classroom, you can often find her enjoying the great outdoors with her husband, Tristan and their kids.

    Ken is a dedicated grandfather with many grandkids involved in the program. He has enjoyed coaching some of them and has always been a supportive presence in their lives. Recently retired from Republic Services, Ken now has more time to spend at the fields, where his passion for mentoring and supporting the next generation continues to thrive.

    Curtis has been the Vermilion Soccer Club President since 2020. Professionally, Curtis is the Operations Manager for Republic Services Sandusky territory. On a personal note, he has been married to wife, Lisa for almost a decade, and together they have 6 boys and 1 girl. Many of their children are actively involved in the soccer club. Curtis has coached every season they have played, starting with little kickers! They spend a lot of time at practices and games but when they aren’t at the fields, they enjoy spending time at Cedar Point, cooking out with family, and having movie nights!

    In addition the Registrar, Rachael serves as the Secretary for the Lorain County Soccer League, where she enjoys blending her organizational skills with her enthusiasm for soccer. Rachael also coaches two teams in our program.
    She’s a proud mom to three wonderful daughters and she enjoys vacationing with them and her husband, Jordan.
    Her commitment to the community and her family is at the heart of everything she does, and she strives to make a positive impact both on and off the field.

    Matt coaches the U14 Girls Travel Team. He also assists the VHS Girls? Team, where his wife, Katie, is the head coach. Matt has over 20 years of coaching experience and has coached VSC teams since 2017. He holds a U.S. Soccer 11v11 Coaching License and has trained individuals and teams across various levels. Matt has played in Europe and U.S. as a youth and collegiately at the University of Cincinnati. Matt?s experiences have shaped his appreciation for soccer?s ability to connect people, celebrate different cultures, and teach life skills. Matt believes in the transformative power of sports and creating a fun, challenging, and positive environment where kids can grow into the best version of themselves. Matt enjoys working to enhance the growing and supportive soccer community in Vermilion.

    Brooke is in her third year as a coach with the VSC. Her childhood was spent on the sidelines while her dad coached the VHS boys’ program and she loves getting to coach her nephew and their team alongside him today. Brooke has been an elementary teacher for 10 years,  formerly as a kindergarten teacher and now as an intervention specialist. Her goal is to create an inclusive environment both on the field and in the classroom that affords every child the opportunity to learn and build their skills in a safe, effective way.

    Samantha has been part of the club since 2023. As a former soccer player herself, she enjoys coaching and having soccer still part of her life. She taught for 10 years and is now a self-published author of children's books. She lives in Amherst with her husband, Jarrett, daughter, Dakota, and dogs, Tahoe and Kai.

  • Head Coach-Lead a team, run practices and help players grow.

    Assistant Coach-Support the head coach and help manage practices and games.

    Team Parent- Handle communication, schedules and team functions.

    Field Crew- Help with field setup, lining and equipment.

    Snack Shack- Help customers with products in a retail environment.
